  4. I. DEFINITIONS OF CONSERVATISM Conserve ~ “to keep in a safe or sound state, to avoid wasteful...” Conservatism ~ “tending or disposed to maintain existing views,...” The disposition to preserve and adhere to existing conditions, and to oppose change.

  5. What is a conservative ? A Conservationist “One who is dedicated to the preservation of the gospel of Christ and the doctrines and practices which are found in the Gospel.”
