CfA is a partner in the VAO • Data Models and applications (Jonathan McDowell, Arnold Rots, Ian Evans★) • Data preservation and curation (Arnold Rots –Lead) • Archive connectivity/ ADS/ semantic web (Alberto Accomazzi) • Portals/User Interfaces (Alyssa Goodman, Gus Muench, PavlosProtopapas★, Alberto Accomazzi, Ian Evans, YulieZografou) • Chair of Science Council (PepiFabbiano) • Channel user input and science priorities into the VAO • Participate in testing and demos • Include broad vision senior astrophysicists • Active and potential VAO users • - CXC connection – CSC • - Harvard/ IIC collaboration

  6. Digitization and Interoperability Outside Astronomy • Inter-Agency Working Group on Digital Data • Report issued (I have copies) • Working on Policy and Data Management Plan memos for Government Agencies • SI Digitization Strategic Plan Committee • Report being prepared for the Secretary • Input for the SI strategic plan • SAO has participated in all the working groups (Policy, Culture, Content, Technical, Marketing, Resources)
