Student Participant Population • 1016 surveys completed (8% credit population) • Demographic information: • 44% under the age of 21 • 59% white, 9% Hispanic, 8% black, 8% Asian, and 6% Native American • 53% females • 73% unmarried • 75% working (23% working 31 to 40 hrs a week and 16% working over 40 hrs a week) • 64% enrolled full-time • 66% taking day classes
Other Information • Purpose of entering 49% transfer/33% associate degree • 30% entered directly from High School/28% entered after working a period of time • 71% OCCC was first choice • 77% would choose OCCC again • Top five reasons for attending • Low cost • Offered the courses I wanted • Could work while attending • Good chance of personal success • Convenient location • Overall impression of Quality of Ed at OCCC - 88% good or excellent
