  1. Feedback from the Planning Group for the Citizenship Delivery Group

  2. The Citizenship steering group met on the 15th November at the Voice4Kent office to talk about how we would take the Citizenship Delivery Group forward. People at the meeting were; • David Curtis from Advocacy for All • Tanya from North Kent Advocacy Scheme • Sue Bates from Kent Valuing People Partnership • Mick Cronin co- chair of the Keeping Safe Delivery Group

  3. Sam from North Kent Advocacy Scheme and Co chair of the Keeping Safe Delivery Group • Tina Walker and Dawn Johnson from Voice4Kent • Chris Dillon from Voice4Kent • Jo Jones from KCC • Gill Cross From the Kent Parents Action Scheme

  4. Voice4kent put an agenda together; • Background of the Delivery Groups, Cabinet, Partnership Board and District Groups and how it all fits together • Looking at ideas for the structure of the Citizenship Delivery Group and how it could work • Agree a plan

  5. The proposed new Citizenship Delivery Group covers; • Personalisation • Advocacy • Keeping Safe • Criminal Justice • Relationships • Being a Parent • Right and Campaigns

  6. We agreed that the Citizenship Delivery Group would be divided into 2 subgroups Keeping Safe Advocacy • Personalisation Personalisation • Keeping Safe Advocacy • Criminal Justice Relationships • Safeguarding Being a Parent • Etc Rights and campaigns Etc

  7. We agreed that both groups will meet 5 times a year and a 6th meeting will be held with both groups together to discuss anything that is overlapping and to put together their action plan. Each Group will produce 3 actions which gives 6 actions altogether for the Citizenship Group. It was agreed that the Keeping Safe group will continue as before

  8. The first meeting of the Advocacy Group will be on the 22nd January at International House, Ashford. The meeting will be co-chaired for the first meeting by Tina Walker and Chris Dillon with Dawn Johnson acting as Guest Shadow Co-chair

  9. The first meeting will cover; • Welcome and Introductions [possible icebreaker] • What the group is about • Ground rules for the group • Co-chair for the group • Logo for the group • Update from the Advocacy Report from 2005 and summary of what has happened since the report [ this will be done by Chris Dillon] • Actions on Citizenship [ advocacy] from the VPN event March 2012 and DPG actions on Citizenship [advocacy]
