  1. LONDON DAY OUT International Students Outing 27/07/2012

  2. Last July a group of international students went on a walking tour to Central London. The aim was to visit the main cultural and historical places in the city.

  3. We visited Buckingham Palace, The Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, 10 Downing Street, Trafalgar Square, The Globe Theatre, St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London. All the students had to do some research on the history and significance of a certain landmark as each of them was in charge of talking about one of the attractions.

  4. Students’ comments on the outing: “Although I had already been to some of these places, this time I was provided with interesting information about their history…” (Anh Tran) “I liked the trip very much. Although I’ve been in London for two years, there are many famous places I just passed by and I didn’t pay attention to know about them….My favourite one was the Tower of London.” (Li Li) “The most enjoyable part was inevitably the Tower of London” (Anh Tran) “The London day out was great. I learned lots of things about London and British history” (SoroushNaji) “Overall, the trip was good, varied, interesting and planned. Also, good security. Recommended for international students, new to London” (Daniele Irandoost) “The most intriguing part was the changing of the guards in Buckingham Palace. The harmonious and disciplined concert by the guards was very good. Furthermore, I saw St. James’s Park, which was incredible: posh, clean and beautiful. Additionally, I learnt a lot from what I said during my speaking…” (Daniele Irandoost)
