  2. Harassment Definition • Harassment is words or actions that hurt, embarrass or make people feel unwelcome or unsafe. It is against the law to hurt people because of who they are or because they are different from you. • The law says that you are harassing someone when you say or do something mean to that person because of… • Their skin color • Their family beliefs and customs • Their religion • Their language • Their clothes • Their disability • Their family members • How much money they have or don’t have

  3. What to DO if you are being harassed • Tell any Adult at School • Remember…You have the right to feel safe and welcome at school.

  4. What will happen if you harass someone • You will get an office referral. • You will have to talk to (each school has a designated person). • Your parents/guardians will be called and may have to come in for a meeting with the principal.

It is against the law to hurt people because of who they are or because they are different from you. • Is against our school rules. • Hurts us all. You have the right to feel safe and welcome at school. • Is NEVER ok. Please tell an adult if someone harasses you.
