Stem Changing Verbs Examples
Para • Used to show belonging • EX: • Viajamosparaaprenderespañol. • We travel to learn Spanish. • Estudiaparadentista. • She is studying to be a dentist
Indirect Object Pronouns Examples: Yo mandouna carta a mi madre. Yo selamando Yo quiero dar el regalo a ella yoquiero dárselo
Superlatives • Drop the ending letter and add “-ísimo” • Then change to either plural or singular/ masculine or feminine • Exceptions: • C-Qu • G-Gu • Z- C
Reflexives • When the object receiving the verb is also the one doing the verb. • EX: Me lavo mi pelo. • I wash my hair. • Non-EX: Yolavo el carro. • I wash the car.
Affirmative tú commands/ irregulars/ pronoun placement • EX: Eat! • Comer- put into third person, drop the “s” • Come! • Pronouns can be attached to the end.
Negative tú commands/ irregulars/ pronoun placement • EX: Don’t eat! • Comer- Change to yo form, change to opposite vowel, then add “s” • No comas! • Pronouns go before the verb but after the “no”.
