  2. What I’m going to include • I’m going to cover the effects of student drinking • This will cover • Their outlook on • How the afford to do it • Why is it socially accepted • Comparison to older alcoholics • When it gets too far • How it can be managed.

Angle • I want the listener's to think they are hearing a friend talking • NOT for it to sound like nagging because I know the point will not be picked up that way. • I want to the package to show a positive and nectivie side of drinking as it will be broadcasted on the bbc and they have to show all sides of the story. • The main thing I want to look at is how student drinking is so socially accepted when if someone twice their age done the same amount of drinking they would be considered an alcoholic's

Radio one listners • Ethnically diverse (13% of population are from ethnic minorties) • More educated than before (uni,college,self learning) • Less likely to read news papers • Get all information from internet • Grew up in a world more unavailable to their parents • Trend setters – undefined by labels or brands • See’s bbc as old • Techincally literate • Not shocked by sex,drunks and drink

How to keep the listener interested • Targeted at young people short attention span • Use new music thought-out • Prsenter led to make it flow • Upbeat and young presenter voice • Locations: uptown, outside bars, on the phone,in a a office, coffee bar etc • Vocab should be simple but make sure when disease and symtoms are mentioned they are pronounced right

  18. How to appeal to target audience • Show them what happened to past generation who didn’t have same opportunity's • Keep it bright • Not mess them around • Talk to them as equal and one on one
