  4. A. The student becomes the center of the learning experience. • Each student works at his own desk, at his own speed. • At certain points in his daily studies he must stop and discuss his progress with his teacher. PSNC #3 505.14 iteenchallenge.org

The role of the teacher • It’s very different from the traditional classroom where lecture is the most common teaching method. • The student lessons provide the information. • The teacher spends the entire class period in one-on-one conversations with students.   7. C. What individualized education is not… • It is not a self-study curriculum. • It is not a self teaching set of lessons. • It is not a correspondence course, though it is similar to this. • It does not eliminate the need for teachers in the classroom. PSNC #3 505.14 iteenchallenge.org

What kinds of questions will you find in these lessons? • Fill in the blanks—to make sure you understand the basic points of the lesson. • Personal opinion questions—Also ask for past personal experiences related to the topic of the lesson. • Personal response questions—How are you going to personally apply in your daily living the lessons you are studying?
