  2. What is National AJET? National AJET is a council of volunteers who work to create resources and improve support systems for JETs. National AJET works directly with CLAIR as a representative for ALTs and CIRs all over Japan. You can see all the cool things National AJET has to offer on their website! ajet.net

  3. AJET Opinion Exchange Results include: • Restructuring Orientations • TEFL course grants • Changes to paid leave and sick leave in the example contract • Introduction of paid study leave (in participating COs) • Banning of smoking in teachers’ offices

  4. For writers, journalists or bloggers out there, you can volunteer your writing, editing or graphics skills for the national AJET Connect Magazine. They have a new issue every month!

  5. Tatami Timeshare Stay with JETs all over the country for free! Stay with alumni JETs all over the world (also for free)! Share your space with JETs from all over Japan and make new friends Sign up and add your pin to the map!

  9. Social events I’ll keep you connected with events going on all over Block 9! You are free and welcome to join events of the other AJET groups. Our first event is a Miyajima Trip/Welcome Party in conjunction with Hiroshima AJET. Come explore Miyajima with us, and then we’ll have a welcome party for all of Block 9 at Mitsukoshi Beer Garden in Hiroshima!
