Steps to request NAVOCEANO Training: • Host Country X sends official correspondence to Security Assistance Officer (SAO) in the Embassy of their respective country requesting the training [could be within the US MILITARY GROUP, the Defense Attaché Office, or the Office of Defense Cooperation, depending on the country]. • SAO receives official request from Host Country X • Depending on funding availability, SAO forwards request to Naval Education and Training Security Assistance Field Activity (NETSAFA) • POC between SAO and US Navy training • Country Manager of Country X (Maritime training oversight) • NETSAFA contacts Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) International Military Student Officer (IMSO), Mrs. Karen Allain (karen.allain@navy.mil) for price and availability • NAVOCEANO/Fleet Survey Team execute training for Country X
