  2. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2

  3. Conform • Shape your behavior to match people around you

  4. Transformed • A change in character that happens from the inside out.

  5. SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinthians 3:18 “And looking on the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces, we are being TRANSFORMED to become more like Christ. This change, from one degree of glory to another, comes from the Lord.”

  6. Transformed • It is about who we are becoming as God works within us. • We grow from one level of maturity to another.

  7. God Changes Us Through Worship • We are changed as we spend time in God’s presence.

  8. Married couples look more alike the longer they are married

  10. God Changes Us In Community • God built structure into our church community so we could learn, grow and mature together.

  11. Ephesians 4:11-13 “These are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles (missionaries), the prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), the evangelists (preachers and traveling missionaries), the pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.

  12. “Their responsibility is to equip God’s people so they will learn to serve and His Body, the church, will grow strong.  This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, and will be completely like Him.”
