Background • 3rd year in a row that a DDI 3 tools panel has been presented at IASSIST • 1st year: “People are really going to do it – it’s not just talk!” • 2nd year: “Lots of people are really going to do it – it’s not just talk – seriously!” • This year… “Which tools are there for me to use?”
Scope • This panel is not comprehensive – there are some other tools being presented here at IASSIST (Session D1 – Thursday 10:30) • Paul Lambert: A Data Curation Application Using DDI: The DAMES Data Curation Tool • Alerk Amin: Building the Infrastructure for Enhanced Publications Using DDI 3 • Andias Wira-Alam: Implementing DDI 3: A Case Study of the German Microcensus
First and Second Sessions • First Session: Tools now available, or to be made available very soon • Some are commercial, some open source, some available on other terms • Second Session: Tools to be made available on a longer time-frame • Also addresses some common topics of interest to all implementers, not only tools
