Weapons up for auction (details to follow) • Pistols • Rifles • Bayonets • Machine guns • Tanks • Trench mortars • Poison gas • Grenades • Flame throwers
Rifles • Can fire multiple rounds • Training recommended to improve skill of shot • Fitted optical sight • Dependable & accurate
Bayonets • Good psychological weapon • Other uses: can opener, toasting bread, scraper • Good for use in close combat • Simple design – knife attached to end of rifle
Pistols • Good for use in tight quarters • Revolvers, clip-loaded automatic & “blow back” models
Trench mortars • Short tube that can fire a projectile that lands straight down on enemy • Ideal for trench warfare • Can be fired from trench • Lighter than machine guns
Grenades • More effective when used in groups • Can be detonated on impact or by fuse • Greatest throwing range = 50 yards
Flame throwers • Spreads fire by launching burning fuel • Good for surprise attacks • Good short range use, limited long range use
Machine guns • Heavy, not very portable • 66-130 lbs. • Requires 4-6 men to operate • Known to overheat • Firepower of 60-100 rifles
Tanks • Minimum speed 4mph • Can climb 5 foot obstacle • Can span a 5 foot trench • Immune to small-arms fire • 2 machine guns on board
Poison gas • Quickly destroys respiratory organs – choking attacks • Weather affects use and effectiveness • Filter respirators recommended
