  2. QUINTA Sub-Projects The German DP QUINTA consists of 10 sub-projects, of which 6 are focused on the vocational qualification of the disadvantaged target-groups of QUINTA. One of the qualification-projects is called „Modular Network for Vocational Training“ and is the basis for the German VENet-Model. This sub-project is therefore most important for the TCA and will be a focal point of the following presentation. 1

QUINTA Challenges Biggest Challenges DP QUINTA Overall Organizing and establishing the DP-partner-network Concerted definition of the DP-goals Generating a common awareness for the DP-activities among the DP-staff-members Getting DP-staff-members involved into a coordinated implementation of the DP-projects Involving the strategic-partners into the DP-activities Co-financing the DP-projects as planned Main reason for problems: part-time involvement of staff-members in QUINTA-projects 2

  4. QUINTA Highlights DP QUINTA Overall Highlights Finally establishing an effective and coordinated partner-network. Still an ongoing process, but right now it is working quite well Excellent performance of selected sub-projects concerning qualification-results and horizontal mainstreaming. Best sub-projects are „Production- and Work-School“, „Scholastic Preparation for Immigrants“ and „Didactic-Strategic Expert Monitoring“ Deduction of promising new Projects for disadvantaged beneficiaries out of present DP-projects 3

Modular Network for Vocational Training QUINTA Sub-ProjectModular Network for Vocational Training • Berufsbildungszentrum Hellweg e.V., Soest • Target group: moderately disadvantaged young persons • Network-cooperation between educational institutions and regional companies • Exactly matched, optimized and supervised vocational training • Dynamic three-pillar-model • Pillar 1: Basic level, aptitude tests, Training at educational institutions • Pillar 2: Regular vocational training (in-company) • Pillar 3: Joint training system • Participant exchange within the three-pillar system on demand • Complementary system for vocational training 4

Modular Network - Challenges Modular Network for Vocational Training – Biggest Challenges Getting the participating actors coordinated and started Involving regional companies into the vocational network Moving the involved staff-members away from their usual vocational training methods Embedding the supporting activities (e.g. psychosocial support) into the Modular Network for Vocational Training General exploitation of maximum potential of the Modular Network for Vocational Training Co-financing instabilities 5

Modular Network - Highlights Modular Network for Vocational Training – Highlights Connecting different partners, that have not worked together in the qualification of disadvantaged target groups before Gathering experience and expert knowledge in implementing and running a vocational education network during the process Initialising a creative discussion-process among the participating actors Cooperating with the DP EVENT from Berlin. Exchange of knowledge and outcomes on a regular basis 6

  8. Mutual Impact Mutual Impact DP - TCA Until now no real mutual impact between DP and TCA – unfortunately! Common strategy of TCA-members required to promote mutual processes and interactions between TCA and national DPs? 7
