  5. Mother Ganga Devi told Bhagiratha, "Oh king, I do not wish to go down to earth because people filled with their sins, will come to bathe in my water thus washing their sins in me. Oh Bhagiratha, where will I wash the accumulated sins of public?“ In answer to this King Bhagiratha said to Mother Ganga Devi, sādhavo nyāsinaḥśāntā brahmiṣṭhā loka-pāvanāḥ haranty aghaḿ te 'ńga-sańgāt teṣv āste hy agha-bhid dhariḥ (SrimadBhagavatam 9.9.6) "Oh Mother Ganga, when the saintly persons who are attached to the Supreme Lord take bath in you, you will become free from all accumulated sins of people because the pure devotees keep the Bhagavan Sri Krsna in their hearts who destroys all sins. "

  6. But, why Bhagavan? Why not Brahman? Why not Paramatma?

  7. We are all part of Brahman .. But still our hearts may not be pure.. Paramatma is in everyone’s heart Still those hearts may not be pure .. But Bhagavan resides only in a pure heart ..
