Project: IEEE P802.15 Working Group for Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs) Submission Title: [Comments Resolved by Other Comments] Date Submitted: [September 13, 2010] Source:[Kuor-Hsin Chang, Monique B. Brown] Company: [Elster Solutions, Silver Spring Networks] Address: [] Voice: [] E-Mail:[kuor-hsin.chang@us.elster.com, monique.brown@ieee.org] Re: [Comment Resolution for TG4g draft] Abstract:The presentation lists comments that do not have resolutions yet but are resolved by the approved resolutions of other comments. Purpose: Present to the 802.15.4g SUN Task Group for resolution approval Notice: This document has been prepared to assist the IEEE P802.15. It is offered as a basis for discussion and is not binding on the contributing individual(s) or organization(s). Outline • Comments to be resolved: • CID# 486, 517/518/519/520, 587, 710, 1146, 1147, 1148, 1186/1187/1188, 1207 • Recommended resolution • Resolution detail
Comments & Recommended Resolutions • CID# 486: • Comment: Definition of channel page structure is not complete. Include text to describe OFDM • Recommended resolution: Accept in Principle • Resolution detail: Resolution same as comment 502 (resolved as in doc. 15-10-538-04). • CID# 517, 518, 519, 520: • Comment: A channel page example for OFDM should also be given. This can be similar to Figure 22b for the 950 MHz Japanese band. Bit position 0 = Option 5 with channel spacing 200 kHz; Bit position 1 = Option 4 with channel spacing 200 kHz; Bit position 2 = Option 3 with channel spacing 400 kHz; Bit position 3 = Option 2 with channel spacing 600 kHz; Bits 19-4 are reserved. Also on Page 16, line 48 it can state, "One standard defined PHY mode is shown for the 950 MHz (Japan) band for OFDM modulation in Figure 22b (new). Standard defined PHY modes for all the other bands are also defined for OFDM modulation, but figures are not shown for all the other bands." • Recommended resolution: Accept in Principle • Resolution detail: Resolution same as comment 502 (resolved as in doc. 15-10-538-04).
Comments & Recommended Resolutions • CID# 587: • Comment: Example tables for OFDM channel pages should be included. • Recommended resolution: Accept in Principle • Resolution detail: Resolution same as comment 502 (resolved as in doc. 15-10-538-04). • CID# 710: • Comment: The band width at 100kbps GFSK in 950MHz Band (Japan) is not correct. It is defined as 400kHz in Table 1b. BW should be changed to 400kHz . • Recommended resolution: Accept in Principle • Resolution detail: Resolved as in doc 15-10-0488-01. Note that this comment was not shown as closed following the San Diego meeting. However, doc 15-10-0488-01 was accepted without objection during the meeting, and this is clearly shown in the meeting minutes.
Comments & Recommended Resolutions • CID# 1146: • Comment: The generic PHY descriptor includes a "modulation scheme" field. When ModulationScheme = 1, OFDM active tones should be defined. add field and necessary parameters for FFT active tones • Recommended resolution: Accept in Principle • Resolution detail: Resolution same as comment 1145 (Resolved as in doc. 15-10-0609-01). • CID# 1147: • Comment: The generic PHY descriptor includes a "modulation scheme" field. When ModulationScheme = 1, OFDM # pilot tones should be defined. add field and necessary parameters for # pilot tones • Recommended resolution: Accept in Principle • Resolution detail: Resolution same as comment 1145 • CID# 1148: • Comment: The generic PHY descriptor includes a "modulation scheme" field. When ModulationScheme = 1, OFDM # data tones should be defined. add field and necessary parameters for # data tones • Recommended resolution: Accept in Principle • Resolution detail: Resolution same as comment 1145 Slide 5
Comments & Recommended Resolutions • CID# 1186/1187/1188: • Comment: A generic PHY is not needed for OFDM. Remove OFDM from the range for ModulationScheme • Recommend Resolution: Accept • Resolution detail: Resolution same as comment 1786 (Resolved as in doc. 15-10-0609-01). • CID# 1207: • Comment: Since Generic PHY parameters for OFDM and O-QPSK are not defined, in the Range field, mark values 1-3 as reserved for ModulationScheme and delete "NOTE — if specific parameters are not defined for the other modulation schemes, values 1–3 will be left as reserved." • Recommend Resolution: Accept • Resolution detail: Resolution same as comment 1786 (Resolved as in doc. 15-10-0609-01).
