Objectives Goals Plan • Cover International Issues • Especially those affecting US, Texas A&M University • Create valuable, informative, unique content • Make interviews accessible Stay up to date with the current events internationally Leverage networks to access interviewees Work with Wiley to coproduce/distribute content

  5. Implementation • Identify topic • Research current event • Formulate questions • Based off of a template • Contact students • Use Wiley, AFIL network • Interview students • Using free Podcast recording rooms • Edit interviews • Wiley takes the lead • Publish content • iTunes, Wiley website

  6. Setbacks & Challenges Original radio program fell through Students committed, but then changed their minds Scheduling issues with interviewees, Wiley partners Issues editing content Miscommunication, lack of motivation by Wiley

  7. Outcome • Two successful interviews • Relevant discussion on China with Kang Nahua • Interview on N. Korean aggression with S. Korean student, Young Kim • Established process for sustainable Podcasts for Wiley organization • Good database of topics and questions that can be used in the future

  8. Conclusion Lessons Learned Longevity Scheduling Communication Overcoming setbacks Working as a team International perspectives broadened Wiley has created subcommittee to continue project Will last into future because of precedent that has been set and materials in place
