Objectives and Specimens Objectives- are concrete materials such as plants, animals, tools and artifacts used in proved direct. Specimens- is a part or aspect of some item that is a typical sample of the character of others in its some class or group.
Models and Mock-ups Models - are modified real things they are replicas of real objects which maybe larges or smaller than the real things. Mock-ups- is an arrangement of a real device or associated devices. Simplified in order to emphasizes certain features.
Types of models 1. Solid Model - recognizing external features as in the case of globes and puppets. 2. Cross-section Models / Cut-away Models- internal structures such as that of a tree showing the pith and other internal parts.
3. Construction models- can be assemble and disassemble to show relationship of parts to whole. 4. Working Models- indicate how the things being represented operate.
Diorama Representation of events idea or concepts against a scenic background. Known as a meaningful exhibit in boxes or cases, which are portable.
Puppets Artificial figures whose movements are controlled by a person.
Types of puppets: 1. Shadow puppets - a translation screen (rear- view screen ) and a light source for its effective use. 2. Rod puppets- flat cut out figures talked to a stick, with one or more movable parts, and operated from below the stage level by wire rods or slender sticks.
3. Hand puppets- made to slip over the hand like a glove. 4. Glove and finger puppet- they make use of old gloves to which small costumed figure are attached. 5. Marionettes- are suspended and controlled by number of strings, plus sometimes a central rod attached to a control bar held from above by puppeteer.
Resource Person as an Instructional Media Instructional Media- useful especially teachers, they life makes easier. Resource Person - someone invented to talk about something.
Introducing the Speaker/s Be your self. Practice making your voice strong and flexible. Avoid technical terms. Speak with contagious enthusiasm. Begin in a friendly way.
