Widely reported by local and national media, Chicago public schools have faced teacher strikes, budget cuts, and limited resources. Together at convention we plan to fill backpacks with crayons, papers, markers, highlighters, rulers, hand sanitizer, tissues, binders, notebooks, etc. What better way to reflect our mission than by helping students with a backpack full of learning supplies? Our goal is to stuff at least 1000 backpacks and present them to a local non-profit that works directly with the youth of Chicago. If you’d like to contribute directly, even if you’re not attending you can purchase supplies needed on our registry. Visit the link below to see what we need: https://www.myregistry.com/giftlist/pilotserviceproject2019. Pilots, Anchors, and Compass members will come together in friendship to complete a service project to fulfill a need in the host-city.
