The Project… • Development of a project for the commercialization of natural gas-based petrochemicals. • The plant which will be constructed will produce 1,000,000 tonnes per year of Methanol • 140,000 tonnes per year of Methanol produced will be used to produce 100,000 tonnes per year of Di-Methyl-Ether (DME).

Activities to be done • GENERAL • CGCL needs to successfully complete many activities during the Pre-Development Stage (CEC / Contracts Negotiation / Finance Arrangement / etc). • Target Final Investment Decision by Shareholders March, 2014 • CONTRACTS • Many contracts including water and electricity still need to be finalized

There is no known adverse negative health impact from the production of Methanol & DME 7 Methanol Plants in Point Lisas / One of the oldest products in the petrochemical industry DME has been long used for propellant for hair spray Assessments will be conducted as per the CEC requirements by the EMA Health Impact 14
Dust & Noise from Piling - mitigation measures in place Traffic - There will be increased traffic during construction. As part of the CEC requirement a Traffic Management Plan will be developed. Water Quality – Storm Water Management will be developed Construction Waste- Standard Waste Disposal Methods-Bins on site to segregate waste & Industrial waste treatment Environmental Impact • Water Effluent– Appropriate treatment. Historically no adverse environmental impact has been reported • Air Quality and Noise will be monitored and will be within EMA requirement. During Construction During Operations . 15
Safety • Handling Spills - Storage tanks surrounded by dirt dyke • - Spill Kits will be put in place • Fire - Fire Tender • - Fire Fighting System • Medical - Emergency Medical Technicians on site • - Ambulance • - First Aid Facility
