  3. gods • Athena – goddess of wisdom; patron of Athens; gave olive tree • Apollo – god of prophesy, music; patron of Delphi; twin of Artemis • Artemis – goddess of the hunt; helped women in childbirth • Aphrodite – goddess of love, beauty; married to Hephaestus, affair with Ares
