HEI • Economic Issues - Well, every time I searched for economic issues I kept getting climate issues, so I just decided to search for economic related issues such as unemployment. - Unemployment rate in the south: ~ July ‘11- 9.0 ~ August ’11- 9.1 ~ September ’11- 9.1 ~ October ‘11- 9.0 ~ November ‘11-8.7 ~ December ‘11- 8.4 - This is what I got from a different website, there’s a lot of information and too little space so just click here to view this very informative website. • Climate Affect on Settlement - People have settled here because of the warm weather and. . . - high precipitation which is good for growing crop to send to the Midwest and North. • Pollution’s affect of settlement - People probably don’t live close to big factories because those are the buildings that let off the most pollution. - Another place that people probably don’t live near as much as other places is the coast because off all the fumes that the cruise ships let out.
