What is Surface Tension? Surface Tension is the elastic tendency of a fluid surface which makes it acquire the least surface area possible. Surface tension allows insects, usually denser than water, to float and stride on a water surface. The instrument used to determine the surface tension of fluid is stalagmometer.
This results into a streched surface The inward forces result into stretched elastic surface.
