zzz • This is a radio team, keyword: team! • If you did not know already, you are about to make a commitment to this radio station! • That means, you will handle things in a mature manner and not hurt the station’s reputation in any form! That does not mean not to have fun, but you know what I am talking about. • Since you have made a commitment, welcome to asian essence! • If you are committed to this station, asian essence will expect you to, follow your schedules, attend our meeting, and pay our fees! • Its not as bad as I make it sound…seriously. Have fun also : )
Some old stuff… • Training using our programs • Schedule DJ schedules • Positions what positions are available • Hardware using appropriate hardware • Staff members look around you (noslide) • Website what does this do • Funding our radio fee • Radio Server how it works
training “All staff members will be trained to use the program by your Head DJ. I’ll be doing djing training at every radio meeting, so if you need any help on how to use the djing program (shoutcast DSP) please don’t be scared and ask me or any of the staff members to help you out. We hope everyone will quickly adapt to this dj program so we can get some live broadcasts going.” – Alex Now word from me! Now for those people who are not understanding this shoutcast DSP program, some of the staff members who understand are going to do a quick demo for you guys. So if you can listen to the teachers for awhile with a mature manner, please do so. : ) Also, if you are wondering about a test, or training server. I (tony) can set up a training server for those individuals who wish to do some testing! Just message me via msn if you want to run some tests.
Schedules : ( Schedules are our timeslots for each week (or month, or until next meeting) for each DJ. This is best for every DJ to know when to get on, or off etc. As of now, our station is basically open for everyone. *Kelly, if you do not remember…you did promise to make schedule sheets for everyone. It is okay though…just bugging you.* “As at the moment our timeslots are all open on this radio, so by the end of this meeting, I’m expecting to have most of the timeslots filled. Decide among your selves about your available times and days. If anyone has questions involving schedules, please ask now before we move to our next slide.” – Alex
Some stuff we gonna do! I took this from alex’s first radio meeting power point. Props to him! Explanation for each position here will be stated!
hardware la • microphone, preferably a plantronic one • Soundcard with mic input, line input, and headphone output. Preferably soundblaster audigy 2
$$$$ $$$$$$$$ • Now, funding is very important! It keeps our station going. Our funding go into our radio station server (shoutcast), future hardware/software, website, etc. • Every who is committed to this station will provide have to provide some funding for the station! (alex will explain more)
Somethings… Remember, treat everything with a mature manner. However do not forget to have fun! Schedules, positions, and hardware and things will be discussed after this presentation. We should have everything done by this meeting. If you have any suggestions or concerns about our station, please speak up now.
Yeah yeah… • I know this isn’t the best looking power point. It was done by Tony. (mR. t) • Most things were taken from the first power point alex made…but I lost somethings…so here it is…haha
