3. Purpose The conduct of research and the delivery of practical outcomes to:
Enable the competitive and sustainable production of liquid biofuels in Oklahoma, and
Contribute to the national research effort to enable the United States to achieve prescribed levels of petroleum independence.
4. Research Programs Primary research program
Focus: Sustainable, economic production of cellulosic ethanol
A comprehensive, whole-system approach, integrates solutions from each stage of the biofuels production/value chain.
Secondary research program
Focus: Developing critical steps in production of biodiesel and ethanol from non-cellulosic sources
