  3. 2nd Tree – Matthew 13 • The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed … becometh a tree • Birds of the air lodge in its branches

  4. Uniqueness of the Human Being • Image and likeness of God • Image • Hebrew = Resemblance • Ability to reflect God’s character • Likeness • Hebrew = Similitude –At its root is to think or meditate • Ability to discern between right and wrong

Without Discernment & God’s Character • “Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.” • Psalm 49:20 • “I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts. For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast:” • Ecclesiastes 3:18-19
