Cultural Mapping A cultural map describes: • the social and material interactions that take place in and around a local area. • complex networks by which these interactions are connected (history, economic, environmental and social interactions) • how the community develop a unique culture through these interactions • As part of the process of cultural mapping, students: • Interact with the community to learn about their history, philosophy, practices • Study and document the community’s wide range of human, material, environmental and social capital
