  2. I:iii, lines 5-44 • Laertes shows his distrust towards hamlet and Ophelia’s youthful love and doesn’t think that they shall have a future together. As laertes proclaims about hamlet “His greatness weighed, his will is not his own” • This extract demonstrates people’s feelings and attitudes towards hamlet, displaying his immaturity and arrogances

  3. IV:v, lines 206-212 • Laertes is talking to Claudious about seeking revenge on Hamlet for his fathers death.

  4. IV:vii, lines 127-147 • Laertes exclaims his revenge towards hamlet thus pinpoints the way that he plans to plot his death. Laertes shows much anger and vengeance towards hamlet and shows the lengths he has gone to assure he is dead.

  5. V:I, lines 213-230 • Laertes shows feelings of rage due to Hamlets killing of polonious therefore, laertes believing that hamlet is the reason of his sisters sudden, dramatic death.

  6. V:ii, lines 198 – 231 • Hamlet apoligises to laertesfor killing his father, although laertes is satisfied there will be no reconcilement as he needs to hold up hi honor. Laertes shows that he has received hamlets apology but they continue and aggree on going forward with the fight. • Laertes accused hamlet of mocking him, but hamlet disagrees as they must uphold their manly honors and values
