Went by the nameDemetrius, but didn’t love herMerely wanted fameand fortune from her father
Tall and fair as a daisyHer name was HelenaShe loved Demetrius like crazybut her love was unreturned.
Lysander and Hermiamet in the woodTo pursue their heart’s true desire.Lysander’s aunt understoodThat they needed to be together.
Helena sounded the alarmAnd told Demetrius the plan.He threatened to do her harmBut into the forest she followed.
The fairies, wanting to give aid,Sprinkled magic dust into their eyes.But quite the commotion they made.Causing them a fluster.
The tables had turned;No longer did they want Hermia.Now Helena had earned,the two suitors’ love.
