  5. Alliteration • Repetition of beginning sound. • The bee buzzed around the busy block. • The chicken clicked and clocked a lot.

  6. personification • Giving human qualities to something not human. • The headlights winked as I walked by. • The bed groaned as I went to sleep.

  7. Idiom • A well known expression that does not mean what it says. • You are a dime a dozen. • You need a taste of your own medicine.
