Phase I: Status/Lessons Learned • Testing for Phase I Pilot completed 4/8/02 • 12 completed test plans received. • Processes worked well. • Download times were within acceptable ranges. • Issues identified during testing: • A compatibility issue was raised with Netscape, this was resolved for Phase II. • Visual Aids – needed additional visual aids and step-by-step examples, screen captures were fuzzy. • Identified issues with Adobe Acrobat and saving .pdf files locally. • Resolutions to these issues will be incorporated into the Subscriber Manual.
Phase II: Goals • Application forms validation (using a .pdf form that allows for consistency when scanning – what might be issues with saving, completing, printing or DEA processing of completed forms). • Notarization process (of particular interest are issues that might occur with environments in which the Registrant and POA are geographically separate from one another). • Determine scalability issues with enrollment process related to bulk enrollments and central ordering. • Validate submission and RA adjudication process (status notification to users, adjudication to CSA database) • Time Estimates for OMB ( especially with the notarization process)
Phase II: Test Objectives • Test Objective 1: Certificate Revocation • 1 DEA test • Test Objective 2: Subscriber Application • 3 industry tests • Test Objective 3: RA Adjudication Process • 3 DEA tests • Test Objective 4: Certificate Issuance • 1 DEA test • Test Objective 5: Certificate Retrieval • 2 industry tests
Phase II: Participant Requirements • Tester must be affiliated with actual DEA registered location • Testers can be Registrants or POAs • Forms must be properly notarized • The certificates issued in Phase II will continue to be used in Phase III • Results from multiple testers within a site should be coordinated through you as the single POC, with your providing any additional comments to us in the Test Results section of the test plan.
Phase II: Action Items • Distribute test plan to Registrants and POAs within your organization who will be participating with this phase • Read test instructions and review test plan scenarios and format prior to beginning testing • Begin Test with CSOS-AP-01 – through CSOS-A-3 (working through the scenarios to perform each script designated for Industry Participant). Mail completed/notarized application form to PEC per instructions NLT 5/31/02 • Retrieve certificate (CSOS-CR-01 and CSOS-CR-02) when notified by email • Return completed test plan to mleary@pec.com NLT to 7/5/02
Phase III: Planning Ahead • Milestones: • 850 Transaction Sets Worksheets - ECD 6/1/02 • 850 committee decision on signature approach (external to orders vs. wrapped around orders) – ECD 6/1/02 • Future Process Flow Draft - ECD 7/15/02 • Phase III testing to follow completion of Process Flow draft • Work In Progress: • Tom Turner (Abbott) contacting participants to determine trading partnerships for Phase III testing. • Survey to determine who is presently using EDI INT or other solutions
