  1. Guy Fawkes By Gaby and Shanna (Year 6)

  2. Fighting Abroad Guy was 23 when he left England to join the Spanish Army. He wanted to fight for the Catholic church. When Queen Elizabeth died, a new king came into power. The Catholics were afraid of the new king and went abroad to find soldiers to help them and they found Guy Fawkes.

  3. Guy Fawkes Plot Guy Fawkes’ plot was to blow up the houses of parliament with the king inside. But one of the Catholics sent a letter to one of the lords telling him to stay away from the houses of parliament on November 5th. But the letter ended up with the king. So the king sent his Guards down to the cellar to find Guy Fawkes. When they went down to the cellar they found Guy Fawkes hiding behind the barrels of gunpowder . They tortured him and then executed him on the 27th of January.

The conspirators The conspirators were: Robert and Thomas Wintour,  Thomas Percy,  Christopher and John Wright,  Francis Tresham,  Everard Digby,  Ambrose Rookwood,  Thomas Bates,  Robert Keyes,  Hugh Owen,  John Grant and the man who is said to have organised the whole Plot :Robert Catesby. Most of these people had the same fate as Guy Fawkes.

  5. AtThe End After all of that we celebrate Guy Fawkes’ night by setting off fireworks and burning a guy on top of a bonfire. We also use sparklers and eat lots of food.

  6. What we did! We have made pictures of bonfire night on the computer (with fresco) and with chalk. On the next page are some people’s work that they did on the computer.
