  5. SWOT Analysis • Strengths • Local chip design and EDA companies, UT Austin • Weaknesses • Location problem • “Memberships” • Opportunities • Co-sponsor events with other chapters and Semiconductor/EDA company events • Threats • Differentiate with other parent societies/chapters

Membership by the Numbers 1/15/2015 • What constitutes a “CEDA Member”? • Central Texas Chapter CEDA • Email list #1673 • Actual council members #22 • Only 2 of the 5 officers are “members” • No one really knows how to join CEDA • Educate our IEEE society members in the CEDA email list on how to become a CEDA member (this is a no-cost event) • If our efforts prove successful, help the other councils • Recruiting IEEE members not part of societies to join CEDA helps the overall CTS chapter with new society memberships.

  7. Chapter Plans • Coordinate a home meeting location (like we had at Parmer) • TexasWISE 2015 • Co-sponsor annual consultants workshop • ICCAD support activities in November • Possibly co-sponsor a workshop • Elections in November • Happy hour event at the end of 2015
