  2. Somebody Else There’s a clever Poplin Parent named SOMEBODY ELSE. There’s nothing this parent can’t do. He’s busy from morn ‘til way late at night. Just substituting for you. You’re asked to do this, and asked to do that, And what is your ready reply? “Get SOMEBODY ELSE, kind sir He’ll do it much better than I. There’s so much to do in our PTA, So much, and the workers are few. And SOMEBODY ELSE is getting weary and worn Just substituting for you. So, next time you’re asked to do something worthwhile, Just give him an honest reply. “If SOMEBODY ELSE can give time and support, You bet your last dime, so can I!”

Join the PTa • $10.00 for one adult PTA Membership • 661 Students X $10 $6,610 • $2,644 goes to pay National and State PTA dues. • Poplin PTA gets to keep $3,966. • Last year, we had close to the same number of students. • We only had 101 memberships in 2010-2011. • Therefore, we only made $856.50 from PTA Membership. • So far this year we have 103 members in the PTA!! Thank You!!

  4. Joining the PTA does not obligateyou to: • Volunteering • Attending any meetings • Receiving any soliciting phone calls from the PTA. • Joining the PTA demonstrates: • Support for your child • Support for Poplin Elementary School • Belief in Education • Enjoyment of all PTA Events/Programs • Support for school improvement through purchase of technology or equipment

  12. How will Poplin Elementary PTA Earn Funds This Year?

  13. PTA Membership $10.00 per adult membership $35.00 Patriot Pride Package 1st Class to 100% PTA Membership, the teacher will receive a $50.00 Office Depot Gift Card. Any class to get 100% Membership, will receive an ice cream party.

  14. Back to school Boogie for bucks All money raised stays at Poplin! In place of Invest-A-Kid!

  15. 3-d Ghost Walk: October 21st, 6-9 pm • For children ages 6 -12 years of age. • Poplin PTA will receive every penny generated through Admission and Raffle ticket Sales. • Tickets are $5 which includes a walk through two 3-D Ghost Adventure Houses and an opportunity to play 3-D putt -putt.
