This is the front of Edinburgh Castle. The person on the far right is our tour guide Nathan. Nathan showed the class around the Castle and taught us about the life and time of Mary Queen of Scots.
If you had been looking at this view from the Castle in 1561 when Mary returned to Scotland, you would have seen her ship sail into Leith Docks.
This is the Court Yard that had the Royal Palace at the time of Mary Queen of Scots. Nathan told us about the time Mary spent here.
Birth of Mary’s son in 1566. This plaque was put here in 1566 when Mary had her son James. The plaque reads 1566 with the initials M A H in the middle. This stands for Mary And Henry, as Henry was Lord Darnley’s first name.
In the Great Hall we were surprised to meet Mary Queen of Scots. She made the girls courtesy and the boys bow. Mary Queen of Scots then lead us to another part of the Castle.
We got dressed in the clothes that the people from the time of Mary Queen of Scots would have worn to Royal Court.

The Royal Dance Mary Queen of Scots then taught us a dance for the Royal Court to celebrate the birth of her son.
After we completed the dance we had a group photo taken with Mary Queen of Scots.
Holyrood palace We then walked down the Royal Mile to Holyrood Palace. We saw Mary Queen of Scots bedroom and the room where David Ricco was murdered. We had a fantastic day learning about Mary Queen of Scots.
