  12. Overall Patterns • Students who apply, enroll, and persist are: • More likely to be white at each decision point • From geographically proximal locations • Largely from residential schools for the deaf • From less disadvantaged circumstances

Transition to College Support • Identify and encourage successful transition from high school to college for students of color: • Academic preparation • Familial understanding and attitudes about postsecondary education • High school college and career counseling • Financial aid application support and assistance
