How to import a csv file in to M icrosoft Access?. Done by : Binari Makalanda – 11G1. Step 1 : Go to start menu and click on Microsoft Access. Step 2 : click on blank database. Step 3 : give a file name and choose a path to save the document. Step 4 : click on create.

  1. How to import a csv file in to Microsoft Access? Done by : Binari Makalanda – 11G1

  2. Step 1 :Go to start menu and click on Microsoft Access

  3. Step 2 : click on blank database

  4. Step 3 : give a file name and choose a path to save the document

  5. Step 4 : click on create Step 5 : click on external data and then select text file

  6. Step 6 : click on browse to find the path of the file to be imported

  7. Step : 7 • Click on ok Click next without making any changes

  8. Step 8 : • Select the option “first row contains field names” and go NEXT

  9. Step 9 : • Change the data type accordingly. • i.e : change data with both characters and numbers into text, data with only numbers into long integer and prices into currency

  10. Step 10 : • Select the option “choose my own primary key” and choose a unique record and click next

  11. Step 11 : • Change the name of the table if necessary and click on finish.

  12. Step 12 : • Click on close

  13. This is how the imported table finally going to look like!
