Afterschool Snacks • Review • Must have an education or enrichment component in a supervised environment • Must be after school has ended but during traditional school day • Expanded Learning Time • Must follow meal pattern requirements • Must follow recordkeeping requirements • Area Eligible or Non Area Eligible
Afterschool Snacks • Schedule B • Can be submitted with Agreement or at least 2 weeks before program will begin • Eligibility for program must be determine each year • Date program begins and ends • Enrollment as of October 1, 2011 • Free and Reduce Eligibles as of October 1, 2011 • Free and Reduced Eligibles/Enrollment = % of F/R • At least 50% F/R = Area Eligible • Indicate if Expanded Learning Time
ADE Seamless Summer Review: • School Food Authorities (SFAs) participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP) are eligible to apply for the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) through the State Agency (ADE CNU). • SFA’s must be able to demonstrate administrative capability and have no significant problems operating either the NSLP or SBP. • Once approved, SFA’s serve meals at no charge to children 18 years of age and under
ADE Seamless Summer • Student enrollment in participating district is not required. • Meals will be counted at the point of service. • Second meals are not reimbursable and may not be claimed. • Site must be at least within the geographical boundaries of a school attendance area that has at least 50% of it’s children approved for free or reduced price school meals
