ICAP Electronic Broking

This study examines market impact in the institutional spot FX market using VAR models. It explores algorithmic trading, structural VAR models, and examines the effects of trading volumes, order flow, and pricing structures. Results show the impact on EUR/USD and EUR/JPY pairs in one-second and ten-second timescales. The study concludes with insights on market impact decay and the importance of order flow in different currency pairs.
