Shoulder • The shoulder includes the trapezius and deltoid muscles, which help to abduct the arm. The trapezius is found on the occipital bone and all the cervical and thoracic vertebrae. Its insertion is on the scapular spine and clavicle. Its primary action is to extend the neck and abduct the scapula.
Forearm • The forearm includes the brachioradialas and flexor carpiradailas. The flexor carpiradailas lies within the distal humerus and its insertion is in the second and third metacarpals and its primary action is to help flex the wrist and abduct the hand.
Arm • The arm includes the triceps brachil, biceps brachil, and the brachialis. The biceps brachil is located on the scapula of the shoulder girdle and its insertion is in the proximal radius. Its primary action is to flex the elbow and supinate the forearm. The brachialis covers the distal humerus and its insertion is in the proima ulna. Its primary function is to flex the elbow and abduct the arm. The triceps brachil is on the shoulder girdle and proximal humerus. Its inserstion is on the olecranon process of ulna. Its primary action is to extend the elbow.
