Program • A mentoring unit of the CTSI Consultation Services to address mentoring issues • Goal: • Provide consultation for “mentoring problems”- concerns mentors and mentees may have about mentoring issues • Free and confidential
Program • Initiated in May 2011 • On July 1, 2013: The service transitioned and is supported by the Academic Affairs Office. • Broader faculty/mentee reach and impact • To provide better synergy with the already ongoing mentoring activities supported by that office. • Consultees can request a consult both through the CTSI consultation services as well as the Academic Affairs website.

Promotional activities for this service in 2012-2013 • Increase advertising for the service through: • Assistance from the MDP directors/assistant directors by emailing schools/ research meeting, faculty development meeting • New faculty orientation • CTSI advertising by disseminating a story on MCS and its purpose • Advertising through the Academic Affairs Office website/emails
