  2. Space • indicates areas between, around, above, below, or within something

  3. Volume • interior space in a room

  4. Picture plane • flat surface of a painting or a drawing

  5. One point perspective • showing 3-D objects on a 2-D surface using one vanishing point

  6. Two point perspective • showing 3-D objects on a 2-D surface using two vanishing points and two sets of converging lines to represent forms

  7. Aerial perspective • the diminishing of color intensity to lighter and duller hues to give the illusion of distance
