Self regulation can play a positive role
Education and proper law enforcement are key
Problem is with alcohol misuse, not alcohol
consumption per se
6. Drinking trends Overall consumption rose rapidly from 1990,
peaking in 2004 and has been in decline since.
Percentage of population drinking to excess has
fallen since turn of century
But alcohol-related health harm continues to rise
with hospital admissions up 69% between
2003 and 2008

Use their brands to inform and educate
Support independent education and prevention
