  2. Budget Update • CHPA Annual Budget = $9,363,942.70 $8,984,380 is budgeted for salaries and benefits $379,563 is budgeted for operations and equipment There is an estimated $1,160,626 in one-time monies available and $398,884in recurring salary savings. CHPA

  3. Budget From the $1,160,626 the College will fund items including: • Summer School ($109,907 budgeted) • Per Course and One-time Hires ($181,658 budgeted) • Travel and Operations for Dean’s Office ($82,674 including $25,554 Capital Outlay for computer purchases) • New Hire Summer Research Stipends ($30,000) • Recruiting and Faculty Hiring ($35,000) • Development Efforts ($2,000) • Research Opportunities ($36,000) • Program Directors ($35,000) • Sabbaticals ($25,000) CHPA

  4. Hiring Plan – Anticipated Searches From the $398,884 in recurring salary savings, the college will fund three faculty searches: • Criminology – Department Head • History – Department Head Asst. Prof. African American HST CHPA

Vision Statement The College of Humanities and Public Affairs helps students to understand social, political and legal structures, ethical principles, religious systems, and economic institutions and practices within a global, historical, and contemporary context. CHPA presents the concepts contained in the university’s Public Affairs mission and applies them to real-world problems and situations so that our students will be better prepared to become citizens and leaders.
