Business of the Year(with more than 25 employees) As a hub for business, Cirencester has a reputation for quality, service and excellence – attributes which will all be present in the winner of the Cirencester Business of the Year Award. The recipient of this award will demonstrate the perfect balance of core business activities including finance, operations, HR, sales and marketing. They will have achieved measurable, provable success through 2012 and be able to demonstrate why they are all round worthy winners of the title – Business of the Year.

The winner of this award will be an inspiration to us all, at the forefront of their field and a leader within their business. The judges will be looking for the highest levels of business acumen, a wealth of achievements and respect from their peers.

Hospitality & Business Tourism Provider of the Year As a world famous town, renowned for its history and chic shopping experience, hospitality is at the heart of Cirencester’s business offering. From cafes, pubs and restaurants to B&Bs, venues and hotels the winner will demonstrate how they have gone the extra mile to provide great hospitality to our many visitors and the local community. In particular the judges will be looking for high quality facilities, value for money, excellent sales and marketing and of course, that personal touch.

  17. Outstanding Innovation of the Year Without ground breaking new ideas, inventiveness and experimentation our business community would stagnate. From new systems for traditional businesses to the creation of new products, the winner will have the flair for the unusual and the courage to have implemented it to the benefit of their business. The judges will be looking for exciting new ideas and new ways of working, alongside positive results and proof of their success.

  19. PR & Marketing Campaign of the Year Have you done something creative this year; used the media to promote your brand; or communicated your message in a new and unusual way? The PR and Marketing award will recognise a business or organisation that demonstrates a well run marketing campaign with measurable achievements. The winner will have truly demonstrated their understanding of their target market; their ability to reach out to them in a variety of creative way and a significant return on investment.

  21. Sustainable Business of the Year Sustainability should be at the heart of every community, which is why it should also be at the heart of every business. The winner of this category will be able to demonstrate a true understanding of CSR, including social, economic and environmental issues. They will show how their business has worked with the local community, giving back to the people around them, whilst clearly identifying ways to improve their impact on the environment. And of course, this needs to be backed up by sound long term fiscal planning.

The Team of the Year will be a group of individuals who have worked together to achieve the exceptional. The judges will be looking for cohesiveness, great relationships, clear goals and a successful outcome – as well as that all important team spirit.

  25. Young Entrepreneurof the Year The young entrepreneurs of today are the business leaders of the future. We are looking for someone under 25 who has set up and is successfully growing a business in 2012/13. The judges will be interested in sound business planning and skills balanced by youthful energy and flair – above all they want to be dazzled by the bright lights of the future.

Join a Judging Panel In order to ensure that the awards are presented fairly and that each entry is given the expert consideration it deserves, we'd like to ask you to volunteer to join one of the Judging Panels. Each panel will include a representative from Cirencester Chamber of Commerce, a representative from the business sponsoring the Award and at least one category specialist. Please contact us for more information. (Remember that you will not be able to enter the category you are judging!)
