OGDE - Ontario Land Based Map Data Series of topographical maps which cover most of Ontario. Maps provide a high level of detail and accuracy, and are the basic input tile for the Ontario Digital Topographic Data Base. The maps are done in two scales: 1:10 000 for southern Ontario, and 1:20 000 for northern Ontario. Although this dataset is based on the original grid structure of the Ontario Base Map (OBM) project, the data is in NAD 83 UTM. Each tile consists of 35 base classes such as water, roads, contours, buildings. 17 of the 35 classes are based on the original OBM layers. Time Coverage: from Saturday, January 1, 1977 to Monday, March 31, 2003Time Coverage Comments: Some of the classes that were used to create this dataset is based on vintage data as old as 1977. Some classes that were used have been updated as recently as March 2003. Ontario Land Information Directory of Metadata for Geospatial Information Holdings. Ontario DLI Training
