  4. JUNIOR CERT SUBJECTS FOR ALL • Irish • English • Mathematics • History • Geography • CSPE • language • Science • Religious Ed • Physical Ed • SPHE OPTIONAL • Art • Music • Home Economics • Woodwork • Metalwork • Business Studies • Technical Graphics

  5. SUBJECT INFORMATION • All available at Senior Cycle • Some change names (e.g. Woodwork > Construction Studies Metalwork > Engineering Tech Graph > DCG (Tech Drawing) • Others subdivide into other subjects (e.g. Science, Business Studies)

  6. ART – no theory, practical coursework (75%) and practical exam (25%) • MUSIC – theory (75%) and practical exam (25%) • HOME EC – practical cookery exam (35%) and written exam (65%)

  7. WOODWORK – 66% practical and 34% theory • METALWORK – 75% practical and 25% theory • BUSINESS – no practical element – assessed fully by terminal exam

  8. TECH GRAPH – assessed by means of practical exam • GERMAN/FRENCH – listening exam and written exam – no oral exam at JC • www.careersportal.ie
