What is a Charter School? Charter Schools are nonsectarian public schools of choice that operate with freedom from many of the regulations that apply to traditional public schools. The "charter" establishing each such school is a performance contract detailing the school's mission, program, goals, students served, methods of assessment, and ways to measure success.

Student Performance Miracle Schools Recognition by • Two Harmony High Schools are listed in the “Top 10 Miracle High Schools in the U.S.” by Newsweek magazine. • Two Harmony High Schools (Dallas and Austin) were ranked among the best 500 high schools in the nation according to a 2011 analysis by the Newsweek. • Additionally, the Newsweek selected 10 out of 500 as Miracle Schools in the nation. Both Harmony Schools in Austin and Dallas made this list.
