Goals for Secondary Part Time Coaching • Discuss advantages/disadvantages of PT coaching • Identify the roles most frequently filled by PT coaches • Identify barriers and possible solutions to increase the efficacy of PT coaches and move their practice from good to great • Interact with PT coaches to understand their roles and gain knowledge of their successes • Provide resources for PT coaching

  3. Please Do Now • Take as many sheets from the roll of paper towels as you would like. • Complete the Advantages/Disadvantages graphic organizer as directed • Popcorn out to group

Part Time Coaching Reality Check: Moving from Good to Great What change could you make that would move your current position as a part time coach closer to your ideal position as a part time coach? What are the barriers to part time coaching in your current position that keep you from having your dream part time coaching situation? What are possible solutions to the barriers? How can your mentor support you?

Directions for Reality Check • At each table, the part time coach will provide the responses for column 1 and 2. • A recorder will write them on the chart paper • Together, the table will examine this data and complete the remainder of the chart • Each table will appoint a presenter who will share the findings of their table with the group
